The natural world is my primary inspiration, the colors and textures really appeal to me. I have found some incredible sea tumbled shells which I make into mosaics within my pieces. I have also found natural river stones which have the colors I respond to. Added to those two primary elements are pieces of oxidized steel which I've added layer upon layer of Prismacolor pencil, then a fixative. It has the feel of a vintage metal sign. Woven copper is another of my favorite elements and I often fuse sterling silver on top to make an abstract design. Copper has the most wonderful earthy color and feel.
